If you already have a trusted group of parents, you can skip the discovery and private messaging process. Simply create a carpool, invite your members, and start using WeMile to manage your carpool.

WeMile will automatically track trips, maintain participation metrics, send reminders and notifications, and help keep the carpool fair and organized with little or no ongoing effort from parents.

Most carpools can be configured in less than 2 minutes.

1. Create a carpool and give it a name.

2. Invite members to join.

3. Enter your pickup and destination addresses.

4. Select the days you are available to drive.

Invited members simply enter their pickup address and select their preferred driving days.

Once everyone joins, your carpool is ready to go. Families can update schedules, addresses, or driving preferences at any time, and WeMile automatically adjusts tracking and notifications accordingly.

No. WeMile automatically detects and tracks carpool trips in the background when the required Always Allow Location and activity permissions are enabled. Parents do not need to remember to start or stop tracking.

If a trip is missed or recorded incorrectly, users can easily add or correct the trip information. This helps keep participation records and fairness metrics accurate over time.

No.

WeMile does not record or track your personal trips throughout the day.

WeMile is designed specifically for carpooling and only processes trips that occur during the carpool windows and driving days you have configured.

Outside of those scheduled carpool periods, WeMile does not record trips or generate carpool metrics.

This approach helps protect privacy, reduce battery usage, and ensure location data is used only to support your carpool activities.

WeMile's home page provides a quick view of carpool participation, including:

• Last drive date for each member
• Number of times each member has driven
• Number of times each member has ridden

This helps carpool group easily see who has been contributing and maintain a fair, balanced carpool over time.

WeMile keeps carpool members informed throughout the trip.

Notifications may include:

• Driver reminder before a scheduled carpool

• Driver approaching pickup location

• Driver arriving at pickup location

WeMile helps families discover nearby parents from the same school. Parents can connect through private messaging, learn more about one another, and decide whether a carpool is a good fit before joining a carpool group.

For participating schools, WeMile supports school verification codes to help ensure only approved families from the school community can join.

Parents remain in control of what information they share and who they choose to carpool with.

WeMile is designed to help parents connect while protecting their privacy. Before joining a carpool, other members can only see your screen name and limited profile information.

Parents are encouraged to use private messaging to get to know one another and ask questions about school activities, teachers, grade levels, pickup procedures, or other details that a school parent would typically know.

If you would like additional reassurance, consider meeting the parent at the school, attending a school event together, or asking another parent or school staff member for an introduction or endorsement.

WeMile does not share your phone number, home address, or other private information with other members. Parents choose when and what information to share. Phone numbers, addresses, and other personal details are only disclosed when parents have established trust and are comfortable sharing them.

Every family has a different comfort level. WeMile provides the tools to connect and communicate while allowing parents to perform their own vetting process and decide when they feel comfortable participating in a carpool.

WeMile encourages parents to champion carpooling within their school community.
